The "Lloyd House" is a home for Evans Home children who have completed high school and need a place to stay during the transition time between dependency and independence. Many of these young adults are college students, either full time residents or home for breaks. Others are pursuing different preparation for adulthood, needing a place to stay while getting their feet wet in the workplace as productive members of our community. Some have started with us, moved out, and moved back in.  All alumni who live here must work and pay rent, and when they move out they receive all of their rent back as seed money for independence.  This project fulfills a long time dream of our children, allowing us to welcome them "home" after their first forays away.
